Three designers, one signature: Lievore Altherr Molina

Three biographies rarely converge this cleanly. Alberto Lievore, born in Buenos Aires in 1948, studied architecture there and ran his own studio in Barcelona from 1984. Jeannette Altherr, born in Heidelberg in 1965, trained in Darmstadt and Barcelona and joined him in 1989. Manel Molina, Barcelona 1963, came out of the EINA school after four years alongside Miquel Milà. Since 1991 they have signed as one studio, working across Spain, Germany and Italy for some twenty manufacturers.

Zoe and Noè for Verzelloni, Catifa for Arper: La Mercanti draws on those pieces for American offices that prefer European restraint to statement furniture.
