Few chairs carry a reference like this on the producer's own brochure: the New Museum in New York furnishes with Leaf — white stackable chairs, moka polyurethane cushions, wire silhouettes holding their own against contemporary art. The same pages show the collection on a Manhattan rooftop at dinner time. It is the American test of a very Italian idea: a designer chair drawn by Lievore Altherr Molina as the veins of a leaf, in painted steel rod, light enough for a gallery and declared for L1 venues from restaurants to banks. The family runs from chairs and stackable chairs to lounge chair, chaise longue, stools at 25.2 and 29.1 inches, and tables at 19.7 and 29.1 inches with Compact HPL tops. Outdoors go the painted finishes — white, green, moka. La Mercanti ships the museum piece to American homes, offices and hospitality floors, itemised room by room.
