Codutti gives the lacquered surfaces of Attiva a program of their own. It is called Paint Your Office and it offers ten matte RAL shades, each with a name printed in the catalog: Arancio, Notte, Cielo, Nuvola, Crema, Ciliegia, Neve, Marine, Denim, Oliva. Any lacquered part of the collection can take one of them — the desk top, the cabinet doors, the fronts of the bookcase — and the catalog backs the finish with two Italian test standards for lacquered surfaces. For an American office that wants a color story without a custom-paint quote, this is the shortcut.
The color sits on an operative desk that Codutti builds four ways: Pannellata with 1 9/16-inch panel sides, Ponte and Anello on triangular steel tube, Conica on pressed-steel legs that can be wrapped in leather, all with a back-lacquered glass top option. Tops come 70 7/8, 78 3/4 or 86 5/8 inches across, alone or with an extension; meeting tables run from a round 47 1/4-inch four-seater to an elliptical 204 3/4-inch table for eighteen; bookcases, cabinets to 111 inches, extensions with sliding doors and the Cosmo armchairs complete the program, which the catalog files as entry-level executive and the site as operative. La Mercanti writes the RAL name on every line of a US order for Attiva, so the Denim on the cabinets matches the Denim on the desk when the crates are opened.
