The New York project in the Be.1 catalogue is worth reading as a plan rather than a photograph. The office was drawn to maximise the view and the closeness to Prospect Park, with a minimalist palette that lets a central blue volume carry the room and a sculptural slatted timber wall act as the focal point. The workstations follow the full length of the central body, leading from the executive area into a lighter space that holds the meeting and conference rooms. That kind of continuous run only works if the desking keeps one depth and one height from end to end.

That is what Be.1 supplies. Designed by Progetto CMR on a frame in white, green grey or black, it works on two depths – 49.2" and 65" – at a fixed 29.1" working height, across single desks, team benches and modular meeting tables. Screens come in melamine, fabric or frosted glass; the Nomad Table moves on braked castors; the Mediawalk partition stands free on its own wheels at 74.4" high. The run down the central core stays one continuous line because nothing in the family changes height.

FAQ

What depths and height does the system use?
Two depths, 49.2" and 65", at a fixed 29.1" working height, the same on single desks, benches and meeting tables.
How wide can a bench run get?
A two-place module runs 47.2" to 78.7". A three-place module reaches 102.4" with the 23.6" extension and 112.2" with the 31.5" one, and modules add end to end.
Does the collection cover meeting rooms too?
Yes, with modular tables from 55.1" to 133.9" wide, in melamine or in glass etched on top and painted underneath.
What sustainability data is published?
Be.1 is listed on GREENiTOP for LEED credits, with recyclable packaging and material and pre- and post-consumer recycled content declared. Frezza also publishes an end-of-life disposal guide.
Can the layout be changed later?
That is what the Mediawalk is for: a partition on castors, finished on both faces, that redraws a training or meeting area without construction.

How to specify a Be.1 floor by Frezza for a US project

Five decisions a US specifier can take straight from the manufacturer's published sizes.

Pick one depth for the whole floor
49.2" or 65". Fixing it once means a bench and a conference table land on the same line months apart.
Count seats, then units
Two or three seats per unit; the number of intermediate units is what makes a run reach the core.
Put separation in the schedule, not on site
Melamine, fabric or frosted glass gets specified per zone, with clip-on holders where the surface must stay clear.
Reserve a lane for what rolls
A braked table and a free-standing partition are useless if nothing can pass beside the desking.
Name the finishes last
Three frame colours and eight melamines, four of which accept a contrasting edge.
