Most operable partitions stop where a ballroom ceiling starts. PMI is rated by Anaunia for wall heights up to 12 m, which is 39 feet 4 inches, with no limit on length, on a ceiling-only track and nothing in the floor. That figure is the reason the series shows up in congress centers and exhibition halls rather than only in offices and boardrooms: the panels are sized to the room, not the other way around, with the guide section chosen by element weight and the running gear built to take it.

PMI movable walls are independent sound-insulated elements, 27.6 to 47.2 in wide, offered in nine acoustic grades from A360 to A580 and approved in reaction-to-fire class 1; an EI 60 fire-resistant version is available on project, and the manufacturer names the naval sector among its fields of use, with marine approvals to be confirmed project by project.

The same catalog holds the lightweight PML, the glass PMIV and PMC, the thermally broken PMITT for outdoor use and the luminous SHINE. La Mercanti works the drawings in inches with your architect and confirms delivery dates in writing at order confirmation.

FAQ

How big is the door you can build into a PMI wall?
A single PS door gives a clear opening of 35.4 by 82.7 inches on a 47.2-inch element; the PD double door opens 70.9 by 82.7 inches on a 91.9-inch element, and a red anti-panic push bar can be added.
What does the wall weigh, and can our ceiling take it?
A standard element weighs 7.4 to 17.2 pounds per square foot depending on the acoustic grade, up to 19.5 for the telescopic element; the guide section is chosen by weight and, where the structure is not load-bearing, Anaunia supplies a lattice beam with a signed structural report.
Where do the panels go when the room is open?
The technical catalog shows storage layouts from type A to type H: parallel, angled or in a side pocket, selected on the survey drawing so the stacked wall disappears from the room.
Which acoustic grades exist and who certified them?
Nine grades from A360 to A580, whose codes state the Rw index from 36 to 58 dB, all tested in an ACCREDIA-accredited laboratory, the Istituto Giordano.
When do we get a delivery date?
Delivery dates are confirmed in writing at order confirmation, after the site survey that Anaunia includes with every PMI supply.

How to receive a PMI wall in a building that is already open

Five steps to bring a PMI operable partition by Anaunia into a hotel, campus or office that keeps working during the installation.

Book the dock and the freight elevator
PMI elements by Anaunia arrive as separate panels up to 47.2 inches wide; agree the unloading slot and the elevator size with the building before the truck is dispatched.
Clear the path to the room
Walk the route from dock to hall with the PMI drawings in hand: door widths, corners and floor protection are settled before delivery day.
Isolate the room, not the floor
The PMI guide is fixed only to the ceiling, so the rest of the floor stays in use; tape off the strip under the track and keep the adjoining rooms open.
Stage the panels in order
Unload the PMI elements in installation sequence, start jamb first and telescopic element last, so nothing is moved twice inside an occupied building.
Hand over with the paperwork
La Mercanti closes the delivery with the DWG set, the certificates and the written dates agreed at order confirmation, so facilities has the file the day the wall is first closed.
