Bespoke: size, colour, finish

Plenty of European desks cross the Atlantic as an afterthought. X12 crosses it by design: the price list carries a dedicated North American edition of the lifting system — 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz — with a 9.8 ft type A power cord alongside the European versions. The desk your facilities team receives in Chicago is built for the outlet in the wall, not adapted to it.

Designed by Dorigo Design, X12 is an executive desk that travels from 29.9 to 49.2 inches at the touch of a keypad, offered in four builds: two legs, a leg with a lacquered monolith on either side, or compositions with a return top on three lifting columns. Tops come veneered in grey elm, American walnut or striped ebony, or with a stitched leather inlay; legs take a matt lacquer in 25 shades. A service cupboard and a mobile pedestal complete the station.

La Mercanti delivers X12 across the United States and worldwide, with white-glove coordination from the Italian side.

FAQ

Which veneers can I choose for the top?
Grey elm, American walnut and striped ebony, all finished with an open-pore matt varnish; a leather inlay in brown, black, red or anthracite with tone-on-tone stitching is available on every width.
What lacquer colors are offered for the base?
Twenty-five matt shades — whites, greys, greens, blues and browns — plus any RAL color on request; metal parts come in anthracite or umbra grey, and the edge profile in brushed chrome.
What is the monolith exactly?
A lacquered structural volume that replaces one leg and intersects the top at a right angle, on the right or the left; its brackets carry a dedicated adjustment that keeps it square and aligned over time.
How do I care for the open-pore veneer?
Dust it with a soft dry cloth and wipe spills right away; the matt varnish needs no polish, and hot mugs should sit on a coaster rather than on the wood.
How much power does it draw when idle?
Between 0.1 and 0.5 W in standby according to the manufacturer's data sheet — the control box is engineered to rest nearly unpowered between adjustments.

Clear a working area beside the desk's final position so the X12 can be assembled without blocking hallways.
Power up and run the range
Once assembled, connect the control box, route the cords and run the X12 through its full travel once.
Hand over the keypad
Show the user the X12 keypad, store their preferred heights and remove all packaging before you leave.
