Jera by Las Mobili, designed by Orlandini Design, is an executive desk for rooms where decisions, clients and status occupy the same surface. Its 90 mm top, upholstered structural panels and wood-effect 3d-foil finishes give this luxury modern executive desk a grounded presence suited to partner offices, C-suite floors, private medical practices and board-level interiors. The collection is especially relevant for U.S. A&D teams because it can be specified as a room system rather than a single desk: lateral return, pedestal, service furniture, meeting table, suspended storage and LED totem units share one disciplined language.
Jera reads well where an office must remain composed under daily use: cables concealed, storage close to the user, Jera Chair guest seating correctly oriented, and finishes resolved before procurement. For clients seeking custom executive office furniture, Jera offers scale, control and material depth without theatrical gestures.

FAQ

Where does Jera perform best in a U.S. executive interior?

Jera performs best in rooms where the desk must carry authority without visual noise: managing partner offices, C-suite suites, private medical offices, family offices and board-level workrooms. It needs enough footprint for the 90 mm top, guest chairs and lateral storage to read as a composed setting, not as oversized furniture.

My client can walk into any West Elm or Design Within Reach and buy a desk that looks similar. What's the actual difference?

They can buy something that photographs similarly. They can't buy this. The 90mm (3.5-inch) self-supporting shell worktop is a structural decision, not a proportional one — it eliminates flex, desk vibration, and the sound of typing carrying through the surface. DWR doesn't carry Las Mobili. Jera reaches the US market through La Mercanti, direct from the factory in Italy — which means if a competitor's client or investor walks into that office, they can't duplicate it on a weekend. For an executive whose office is a statement about taste and success, that unavailability is the spec, not an inconvenience.

Can Jera be configured as an L-shaped executive desk? That's what most of our law firm and finance clients want.

Yes. The L-shaped configuration is the most specified Jera layout for law firm partners and finance executives. It combines the primary desk (83 or 94 inches wide, 41-inch depth) with a front return (63 inches wide, 31.5-inch depth) — the return sits perpendicular and acts both as a secondary work surface and a visual separator between the executive's space and the client's side. Both surfaces share the same 3.5-inch worktop construction and finish. The desk and return are structurally independent but finish-matched, so the composition reads as a single piece. For corner offices in the 200–350 sq ft range, this is the configuration that uses the room correctly — it fills the corner without blocking circulation, and puts the executive in the natural command position relative to the door and the window.

How do I justify the price to a procurement committee that's comparing Jera to Steelcase or Knoll?

The comparison isn't apples to apples, which is actually the argument. Steelcase and Knoll excel at scale — hundreds of workstations, systems furniture, procurement efficiency. Jera is specified for 1–10 executive offices in the same building where those workstations live. The procurement case is different: a C-suite desk amortized over a 15-year product lifecycle costs, per year, a fraction of what the room communicates. The alternative — a mid-tier executive desk replaced twice in the same period — runs higher in total cost and generates a fitout disruption cycle. The harder argument, and the more honest one: a Steelcase executive desk tells the room it was purchased through a facilities process. A Las Mobili Jera tells the room a decision was made. That distinction is worth something specific in client-facing offices, and your committee members know it — they just need it stated plainly.

Can Jera support multi-office executive floor planning?

Yes. The collection extends beyond the desk into meeting tables, service units, suspended storage and LED totems. This helps A&D and facility teams create several offices with different layouts while preserving a consistent material language across the executive floor.

How to get a Las Mobili Jera into your office in 5 decisions

C-suite + A&D + corporate buyer

Decide who the office is for — and what it needs to say

Before dimensions or finishes, one question: is this office primarily for working, or primarily for receiving? A managing partner who meets clients in the office needs a different Jera configuration than a CFO whose door is rarely open. Client-facing offices call for the L-shaped layout — desk plus front return — which creates a natural boundary between sides without putting a wall between people. Work-first offices often do better with the desk alone at 83 or 94 inches and the storage behind. Getting this wrong means reconfiguring after installation. Getting it right takes one conversation and saves six weeks.

Pick the finish in the room, not on a screen

Bali Walnut is warm and grain-forward — it reads rich under incandescent or warm-white LED, which is what most law firm and finance offices run. Gray Elm is the choice when the walls are light and the design intention is restraint. Wengé delivers the highest contrast and the most authority — but it needs warm light and pale walls to work; under cool overhead fixtures in a low-ceiling office it turns the room dark. We send physical samples to your office or studio; the sample cost is credited in full against a confirmed order. One rule that holds across every project: the client who picks a finish from a photo almost always second-guesses it. The client who picks it in the room almost never does.

Set your move-in date before you confirm the order — not after

Production in Italy, customs clearance and last-mile logistics sit inside one timeline, which we confirm in writing at order stage. Most timeline problems happen because a client confirms the order and then mentions the lease start date. Tell us the date you need the desk installed before you sign off on the configuration. We build backward from your deadline. If the gap is tight, we'll say so immediately and give you options. If it works, we lock it in writing. No surprises mid-production.

Send us the floor plan — get back a render, a BOM, and a price

A PDF or screenshot in scale is enough. We return three things: a dimensioned floor plan showing the Jera configuration with circulation clearances marked, a component-level bill of materials with Las Mobili product codes (useful for your procurement records and FF&E schedule), and a 3D render of the composition in your actual space if you want it. We handle the conversation with Las Mobili's factory directly — you talk to one person at La Mercanti, not a distributor chain. If something in the configuration needs adjusting for your floor plan, we know before the order is placed, not after the desk arrives.

On installation day: clear the floor, not the building

Jera ships flat-packed from Italy. Our team assembles and installs on-site — you don't need to coordinate a separate contractor. A standard setup (desk, pedestal, two suspended cabinets) takes roughly half a day. We need two things from your side: confirmed building access with elevator reservation if the office is above the ground floor, and the wall type for any suspended cabinets — drywall, concrete, or steel stud each requires different fixings, and we spec accordingly. You don't need to clear the office entirely; we work around what's there. When we're done, we do a walkthrough with whoever is signing off. We don't leave until it's right.
