Look at the plan rather than the photograph. The whole of Euclideo comes down to a square measuring 90 by 90 cm, 49 cm high, positioned under the centre of the top. Around that square the floor is uninterrupted, which is why a boardroom with this table reads as one room instead of a grid of legs and stretchers.

The consequence is practical rather than poetic. Nothing lands at the corners, so seats are placed by conversation rather than by structure, and the vacuum goes under the table in one pass. The base is a steel structure clad in four panels, offered veneered, RAL lacquered or covered in leather; the top above it spans 530 by 180 cm or 350 by 180. Designed by Ferruccio Laviani in 2024 and specified by La Mercanti on executive floors across the United States.

FAQ

How big is the footprint on the floor?
One square of 90 by 90 cm, 49 cm high, under the centre of the top. That is the entire contact with the floor, whichever of the two top lengths is chosen.
Does the single base change how the room is used?
It changes where people can sit and how the room is cleaned, because nothing lands at the corners of the table. Seating positions follow the conversation instead of the structure.
What is the base actually made of?
A steel structure covered with four particleboard panels. Those panels can be veneered, lacquered in a RAL colour, or covered in saddle leather or leather.
Is the base ordered together with the top?
They are listed as separate items, base and top, each with its own code. That is how a leather top can sit on a veneered base, or the reverse.
What sizes does the top come in?
530 by 180 cm or 350 by 180 cm. The depth and the 27 cm centre section stay the same; only the length changes.

How to plan a boardroom around one central base

Five checks for a table that touches the floor in a single place.

Draw the square first
90 by 90 cm under the centre of the top. Put it on the plan before anything else and the rest of the room follows.
Set the seats by conversation
With no corner legs, positions are chosen for sightlines. Space them along the top, not around a frame.
Check the two lengths
530 or 350 cm at the same 180 depth. Overlay both outlines on the floor plate before choosing.
Coordinate base and top finish
They are separate items, so they can match or deliberately contrast. Decide which, and write it in the order.
Confirm access with drawings
A five-metre top and a base travel differently. Send the route and the manufacturer's drawings together, and get the method confirmed in writing at order.
