Executive furniture gets photographed; operative furniture gets used. Eight hours a day, every seat on the floor — and that is the brief Studio Si answered with Sigma by Las Mobili: a workstation system where the engineering carries the elegance. Legs are 35 x 35 mm square steel tube, 3 mm thick, connected to a load-bearing frame through molded zama joints; the frame recesses half the thickness of the 24 mm coupled top, so what your team sees is a thin, calm line and what facilities gets is structure.
One grammar builds the whole plan: single operative desks, benches on bridge or loop legs — fixed 25 mm tops or sliding tops that glide open on POM sliders for instant cable access — semi-executive desks on a structural service cabinet, and meeting tables on cross or bridge bases with flush pop-up power towers. Desks aggregate to comby desk-height storage, to service cabinets, to metal bookshelves with desk-attach modules. Structure comes epoxy-coated in White, Matt Black, Green, Ice Grey, Tobacco or Cappuccino: enough range to color-code teams and neighborhoods without a single wall graphic.
Built for the hybrid floor
Hot-desking lives or dies on cable order and personal storage, and Sigma treats both as structure: flip-top top access with soft closing and dust brush, under-top trays, central legs with inspectable WIRE MANAGER panelling, CPU modules with grommets that swap for built-in sockets — and lockers with progressive-numbered cylinders, all different, plus a MASTER key for facilities. Joint engineering. Studio Si drew one grammar that builds singles, benches, semi-executive desks and meeting tables, so a floor specified today doesn't turn into a patchwork at the first reorganization.
Plan the spine, then decide seat by seat. Benches on bridge or loop legs densify without new geometry — teams share legs and beams — and aggregate with comby storage; single desks hook to comby, service cabinets and metal bookshelves via brackets, so rows recompose instead of getting replaced. For IT-heavy teams, sliding tops open the cable bay from a standing position: no crawling under desks on patch day.
By treating cables as structure at four levels: flip-top top access with soft closing and dust brush on the desk; 0.7 mm sheet-metal trays under it; central bench legs with inspectable WIRE MANAGER panelling in the spine; CPU-holder modules whose Ø 80 mm grommets swap for built-in sockets. Meeting tables get a pop-up tower that sits flush until pressed — power appears for the meeting and disappears after it.
They replace signage. Green legs for one team, Tobacco for another, Ice Grey for touch-down zones: with legs, trays and top access all coated in the same palette — and nylon leveling feet color-matched to the metal — the floor plan explains itself. Facilities teams use it as wayfinding; brands use it as identity you sit at.
Lockers engineered like the desks: mechanical bolt lock, removable cylinders with progressive numbering — all different — double folding key, and one MASTER key per reference so facilities never drills a lock. Assigned seats add the handle-less two-drawer chest with central locking. Both integrate into comby compositions at desk height, which keeps aisles and egress clean.

Lay bench spines where teams will grow — density rises on the same legs and beams — and use single desks with comby aggregation where separation matters. Brackets connect singles to comby, service cabinets and metal bookshelves, so the plan recomposes without repurchasing.
Locate floor cores first, stand CPU modules and WIRE MANAGER legs on those verticals, then decide desk by desk between top access — flip-top, soft closing, dust brush — and simple under-top trays. Specify meeting-table pop-up towers now; electrification is chosen separately by color and type, and retrofits are the expensive way.
Six structure colors and ten top finishes code teams, zones and floors without graphics. Two or three combinations per floor is the discipline that keeps the code readable — and the color-matched feet carry it to the ground.
Unassigned seating fails on storage first. Put lockers — progressive-numbered cylinders, MASTER key per reference — into comby compositions, and central-locking drawer chests where seats are assigned. Desk-height storage keeps floor area for people, not cabinets.
Melamine and coated metal shift under office lighting: approve physical samples in your space — the cost is fully credited when the order is confirmed. Then freeze tops, metal color, compositions, top-access positions and locker numbering in writing with the order.
