A lounge chair without a footstool is a chair you sit in. With one, it becomes somewhere people actually stay. Aston Club has a matching footstool built on the same four-legged aluminium base, with a polyurethane shell — the same visual language, at ankle height. Pair it with the reclining version and the chair stops being furniture for a ten-minute conversation — it is the lounge sibling of the Aston executive chair.
That distinction matters for the way American workplaces now use their floors: focus rooms, phone-call corners, hotel-style lobbies and library lounges where somebody reads for half an hour. Upholstery comes in fabric, coated fabric or leather; internal components use post-industrial recycled plastic and the chair is fully disassemblable. Designed by Jean-Marie Massaud in 2020 and handled in the US by La Mercanti, samples and documentation first.
