An American brand named a chair after Jean-Marie Massaud

Few designers get a piece of furniture named after them by an American workplace brand. Coalesse did exactly that: the Massaud Work Lounge took a Red Dot award in 2015. Jean-Marie Massaud, born in Toulouse and trained in Paris, has run his own studio since 1996, moving between products, interiors and buildings.

Two of the houses he draws for sit in our catalogue: Arper, with the Aston seating, and MDF Italia, whose Yale sofa won Italy's Compasso d'Oro. La Mercanti specifies them where a U.S. office receives clients.
