Vincent Van Duysen: on the AD100 and the A-List, by American consensus

The two lists American design actually reads — Architectural Digest's AD100 and Elle Decor's A-List — both carry the same Belgian name. Vincent Van Duysen runs a 40-person studio in Antwerp where architects and product designers share one language: pure, tactile materials, no fleeting trends, comfort that lasts. Since 2016 he has been creative director of Molteni&C; his monograph Private was published by Rizzoli New York in 2024, and 90% of the studio's work is international — the USA included.

For a US project, La Mercanti brings his hand in through Mutina stoneware and Fantini fittings — the finishes clients touch, shipped and coordinated from Italy.
