Antonio Morello has kept the same design job since 1991

In an industry that celebrates the restless résumé, Antonio Morello tells the opposite story: he joined DVO in 1991 and never left. Born in 1963 in Sant'Agata di Militello, Sicily, he moved to Padua in 1982 and built his entire professional life around one discipline — office furniture — and, from 1991, around one company, where he is responsible for design, engineering and the industrialisation of every product. Three decades of accumulated factory knowledge show in a catalogue of some twenty systems, from executive desks to storage walls.

American offices can read that continuity in Oxford, the executive line carried by La Mercanti along with the rest of the DVO range — plus Morello designs like Vertigo and Dakar, names that travel as far as their author never had to.
