American executive floors usually pick between wood veneer and glass. Planeta by DVO Office, a modern executive desk, puts five materials on the table — literally. The declared range of tops runs from melamine in «Maroncelli» walnut and three oaks to scratch-resistant gloss laminate edged in methacrylate, real leather with grey stitching, acid-etched tempered glass, and porcelain stoneware bonded to glass in «extra-white» or «marquina». Same system, same ring leg — or the service-unit composition up to 97.4 in — five different presences in the corner office.
That menu is a practical tool: the CEO’s desk, the CFO’s and the boardroom can share one design language while each surface does a different job — laminate where use is heaviest, stoneware where the desk must impress, leather where it must welcome. Designed by Antonio Morello, the collection extends into meeting tables and universal storage, so the material choice carries through the whole floor.
