The Elinor high back weighs 51.8 lb and the low back 46.3 lb, and the difference is not spread across the chair: Pedrali's material breakdown puts 19.8 lb of steel in the 3755 against 16.8 lb in the 3756. Every other line matches — 12.6 lb of die-cast aluminum, 5.3 lb of polypropylene, 6.2 lb of polyamide. The taller backrest is not more foam or more shell: it is more frame, which is the part that carries the load.
That is worth knowing when a floor plan mixes the two executive chairs. The 3755 works behind the desk and where the meeting starts; the 3756 answers it from the other side of the table, as a meeting chair, where a backrest at 33.1÷38.2 in keeps the room readable across the table. For a US specification the fire package is written out: the upholstery collections carry US CA TB 117-2013 compliance to the criteria certifying the absence of flame retardant chemicals under AB 2998, with ASTM E84 and NFPA 260 listed alongside. La Mercanti ships both codes on one order and keeps the fabric card with the acknowledgment. The family also runs to the Elinor tables — four sizes from 59.1×59.1 in to 118.1×43.3 in, cable routing comes two ways, a duct running along the top or a compact box.

Warranty: 24 months on manufacturing flaws and defects, declared by Pedrali
You can, but Pedrali states plainly that no warranty is provided for upholstery made with materials it did not supply. On a COM specification that trade-off is worth settling before the order, not after.
The die-cast aluminum is declared 94% recycled at origin. Across the whole 3755 Pedrali states 35.5% recycled content and 85% recyclability at end of life; the low back 3756 reads 36.6% and 86%. Those are the figures that go into a sustainability submittal, exactly as the manufacturer publishes them.
ANSI-BIFMA X5.1-2017 at clauses 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, 13 and 20, printed alongside the European EN clauses. The same chair is declared against both systems, not one or the other.
A 1.6 in column with a gas lift, a five-spoke die-cast aluminum base, and 2.6 in swivel casters whose rotating part is polyurethane rubber.
From 16.1 to 21.2 in, identical on both versions, with a backrest dimension of 23.2 to 28.3 in. It is the range that lets one specification cover a floor of different people.
Twenty minutes in a showroom decides an order of executive chairs. These steps use what Pedrali declares for Elinor, so the visit tests the chair rather than the impression.
Request the 3755 and the 3756 together. They share the base and the seat travel, so the only thing the visit has to settle is the backrest height, and that is easier with both chairs present.
The Elinor seat runs 16.1 to 21.2 in. Set it to the desk you actually use, then keep it there: a chair tried at the wrong seat height reads as the wrong chair.
Elinor has two chromed levers, one for seat lift and one for backrest inclination. Move one, sit, then move the other. Together they hide which adjustment did the work.
Ask for Elinor in the category you specified, not in the showroom default. A wool and a mid-grain leather feel different at the shoulder blade, which is exactly where the two backrest heights differ.
Look at the Elinor base you are ordering: black, polished or satinized. Pedrali ties the castors to that finish, so the pairing seen in the showroom is the pairing that will arrive.
