Claudio Bellini, the Milan designer American manufacturers keep calling

Few Italian designers have a US client list this long. Claudio Bellini has developed collaborations with Steelcase, Kimball and OFS in the workplace, designed for Bernhardt Design and Restoration Hardware, and his most recent awards come from the same side of the Atlantic: Best of NeoCon 2022 for Ravel by Bernhardt Design, 2024 for Blush by OFS, 2026 for Rela by Stylex. The practice behind it is Milanese, founded in 1996 after his years at Mario Bellini Architects, and it reads foreign markets as a discipline - the studio describes the analysis of their dynamics as the reason it is known far beyond Europe. Beauty and efficiency, in his own formula, are meant to hold together.

His Italian office work is at Frezza: the DR executive desk, the Fior di Loto chairs and the Russell sofa. La Mercanti delivers DR to American executive floors, in the finishes confirmed by Frezza before shipping, for clients who already know his American pieces.
