At a counter, the difference between furniture and hospitality is the turn. A fixed stool keeps you facing your coffee; MAK swivels, so you face the person who just walked in. Lapalma built the gesture into the architecture of the stool: a game of perfectly proportioned rings — backrest, footrest, seat — balanced on a single load-bearing stem that lets the whole seat rotate without moving an inch of floor space.
Patrick Norguet drew it in 2012 with a declared French verve, and Lapalma engineered it the Italian way: powder-coated steel frame in eight named colors, an MDF seat padded with flame-retardant polyurethane foam, upholstery in fabric, leather or eco-leather, and height adjustment from 21.7 to 31.5 in (55-80 cm) that covers kitchen islands, reception counters and bar counters alike. The sheet declares testing to EN 1728:2012 and EN 16139:2013 at L2 extreme.
For American workplaces and hospitality projects, La Mercanti delivers MAK where counters do double duty — coffee points that host stand-ups, reception bars, communal kitchens — with terms confirmed in writing at order confirmation.
