Facility teams know the math: when a conference chair shows wear, the whole chair usually goes. Seela rewrites that line item. The seat insert — wood, polypropylene or fabric — is fixed by four screws, removable and interchangeable, so a scuffed seat or a dated fabric becomes a component swap, not a replacement order. Lapalma declares the intent openly: changing details over the years is how the chair maximises its service life.
Antti Kotilainen’s design keeps the rest just as rational. The polypropylene shell runs into the seat in one gesture and rides on whichever base the room requires: stacking sled or four-leg versions for the meeting room, swivel bases on self-braking casters for working sessions, low lounge bases for the lobby corner, stools at 25.6 and 29.5 inches for counters, and a swiveling tablet in Fenix for training setups. Fully upholstered, SOFT and leather versions dress the same body for hospitality and residential work.
La Mercanti keeps the code list and finish references on file stateside, so the insert you order in year four matches the fleet you bought in year one. One screwdriver, and the boardroom looks new again.
