Arper describes this table in one sentence, and the sentence does the selling: “a single, spare plane floats above four slender legs. The result is aesthetically pure but flexible.” Floating is the right verb, because nothing interrupts the span — the rigidity comes from four rails hidden under the top, not from a beam or a pedestal. Nuur is therefore a system before it is a conference table: four corner legs, four rails, one top, at 29.1 inches of height, in square, rectangular and Office versions, the last one fitted with two grommet openings. Tops are Fenix® laminate in white, black or grey — with wooden tops added in the 2024 update — over a powder-coated aluminium frame in matt white or matt black. La Mercanti ships it from Italy into American boardrooms, open-plan floors, hospitality rooms and home offices, with the cable accessories itemised on the same line.

FAQ

Which tops are declared for the collection?
Fenix® laminate in white, black or gray, plus the new wooden tops introduced with the 2024 update. The frame is powder-coated aluminum in matt white or matt black.
How does the Office version manage cables?
Its rectangular top carries two openings that take either a cable grommet or a cover, so the same top serves a wired workstation and a clean meeting table. Combs, cable trays and modesty panels complete the layout.
What is the table height?
29.1 inches (74 cm) across every declared version — square, rectangular and Office. One height for the whole collection keeps a multi-floor specification simple.
Where does the producer declare it for use?
Under EN 15372 the collection covers level 1 light use (hotel bedrooms, churches, libraries), level 2 general (hotels, restaurants, public halls, banks, meeting rooms) and level 3 severe, from transport terminals to barracks.
Which awards does the collection carry?
Six declared: the XXII Compasso d'Oro in 2011, plus ADI Design Index, iF Product Design Award, Design Week Award, Design Guild Mark and Dobry Wzór, all in 2010.

How to plan a Nuur boardroom and its cabling

From the floor outlet to the grommet: five steps in inches to a room that hides its wires.

Start at the floor outlet
Position the Nuur table so the run to the outlet is shortest — every cabling decision above the top gets easier once that line is drawn.
Choose grommet or cover per table
Workstations take the cable comb in the opening; tables used clean take the cover and an uninterrupted top.
Add the tray underneath
The cable tray keeps adapters and slack out of sight — the accessory that decides how the room looks three months in.
Fit modesty panels where seats face each other
Panels belong to double runs; single tables in a boardroom usually read better without them.
Have La Mercanti itemize the room
Send the plan: the quotation returns table by table, with combs, covers, trays and panels listed under each top.
