Plenty of firms write a clear-desk policy; their front desk is usually where it dies. Kyo Reception, the front-of-house piece of the Kyo desk collection, builds the policy into the furniture: what reads from the lobby as a compact, sculptural volume opens on the working side into a full-width compartment where folders, badges and tools live at the operator's fingertips - and out of every visitor photograph.

Mario Mazzer keeps the discipline effortless. The compartment interior comes in one dedicated finish, the top stays free because storage sits exactly where hands already are, and below the counter a fitted unit with a removable magnetic door swallows the electrification. Compliance stops being a morning tidy-up and becomes the default state of the desk.

Front-of-house teams at headquarters, law firms and clinics ask La Mercanti for exactly this: a desk that looks composed at 9 a.m. and at 6 p.m. without effort. And because it belongs to the Kyo collection, the same language can follow your visitors past the lobby - La Mercanti specifies reception and executive floor as one project.

FAQ

What are the linear sizes, in inches, of the smaller desks?
The linear schemes pair a central body of 59.8, 75.6, 83.5 or 107.1 inches with an overall top of 70.9, 86.6, 94.5 or 118.1 inches, always 39.4 inches deep - the top runs 11 inches past the body on every one.
Can a wheelchair user come right up to the counter?
One configuration extends the panelled-leg top beyond the front line, leaving a free wing underneath: a person in a wheelchair rolls in comfortably and finds natural support at the counter itself, not at a separate station.
Which materials can the front be clad in?
Oak veneer in two tones, gres in three - Loft Beige, Pacific Bianco, Storm Nero - or BioArgilla, a hand-applied natural finish in six shades whose texture makes every desk one of a kind.
Does anything glow after hours?
An optional LED can be specified beneath the top or along the plinth; it is an accent, wired through the same concealed electrification as the rest of the desk, and it stays optional on every composition.
How does ordering through La Mercanti work for a US delivery?
You receive one written quotation with the handing, finishes and every date confirmed at order confirmation, and one contact coordinates freight and installation to your building - no asterisks.

How to measure your lobby before ordering a Kyo Reception

Five measurements decide whether a reception desk serves or blocks an entrance. Take them in this order and the Kyo Reception by Martex arrives already right.

Trace the visitor path
Walk the route from door to elevator and mark where eyes land first: that sightline is where the Kyo Reception body should sit.
Fix the depth line
Measure from the wall you will back onto: the Kyo Reception needs 39.4 inches of depth plus the operator's working space behind.
Choose the handing on site
Stand at the entrance and note whether visitors approach from the right or the left; that decides the RH or LH version before any drawing.
Count the operators
One person fits the linear schemes; two call for the double-body compositions - measure the wall run you can give them.
Photograph the floor and power points
Send plan, photos and outlet positions to La Mercanti: the reply maps the Kyo Reception scheme onto your actual entrance.
