Two desks can look identical and behave differently once the room is closed for the night. se:vision answers that with numbers an American specifier already uses: GREENGUARD certification from UL Solutions to UL 2818, with the desk tested under ANSI/BIFMA M7.1 and found compliant with ANSI/BIFMA X7.1 and with ANSI/BIFMA e3-2019 Credit 7.6.1 in both a private office and an open plan model. The criteria behind the mark are published: total VOCs at or below 0.50 mg/m³, formaldehyde at 50 ppb, total aldehydes at 0.10 ppm. For a specifier comparing submittals, a published number beats an adjective.
The rest is a German-made modern executive desk designed in house by Falk Blümler. Five widths from 63" to 94.5", three depths from 31.5" to 47.2", a fixed 29.1" height, a 0.75" MDF top — pure white among nine finishes — with a black edge bevelled at 30°, and legs in powder-coated aluminium, chrome or veneer whose angle is freely adjustable. se:vision storage completes the workstation: one to four sections from 24.7" to 95.6" wide, lockable by interchangeable core or battery RFID, and usable as a credenza, alongside the desk or underneath it as the top's support. On US projects La Mercanti issues both certificates with the quotation, so the emissions line is closed before anyone on the team asks for it.
