A lounge sofa usually arrives with arms and the question ends there. Cierre puts the decision back on the table: Nuvola exists in two versions. With side arms, the manufacturer says, the frame becomes a harmonious graphic presence — the sofa gets an outline. Armless, it foregrounds the purity of the lines and the softness of the volumes, inviting a freer embrace.
The choice is practical before it is aesthetic: arms define territory, no arms let a modular run breathe along a waiting wall. The sofa is designed by Stefano Conficconi, 2026, with reclining metal backrests.
