Finish names usually reach for geography or poetry. Bralco named Metar's signature oak Carbon — and the word choice is a mission statement. This is an executive range that talks like an engineering company: a desk 220 to 240 cm long and a full metre deep, integrated wiring, a leather insert stitched — not glued — into the top, and a handle designed once and repeated across every storage piece.

The palette reads the same way. Seven oaks from Carbon to tobacco, matt lacquers, an ecomalta mineral surface straight out of high-end architecture, matt back-lacquered tempered glass, and metalwork in shadow grey or pink copper — a combination you specify, not stumble upon. Design is by Gianantonio Perin and Giorgio Topan for Bralco's EXE executive systems, made in Susegana, Treviso.

Scale is the third argument: meeting tables at 280, 360 and 440 cm, round tables for the huddle, sideboards in three lengths, bookcases climbing to 270,6 cm on a 38,4 cm module, and wall panelling cut from 58 to 308 cm wide. For US projects, La Mercanti configures Metar against the official Bralco abacus and keeps the finish codes on file — so the second order, two years in, matches the first to the letter.

FAQ

What exactly is Carbon oak?
Bralco's darkest oak finish for the Metar range — real oak veneer finished in a deep carbon tone, one of seven declared oak options alongside tobacco, natural, grey, dark grey and the white or black lacquered versions.
How does Metar handle power and data at the desk?
Integrated wiring is a declared highlight of the collection: cabling runs inside the desk rather than over it. Combined with the one-metre depth, the top stays a working surface, not a cable tray.
Is the leather insert practical or decorative?
Both, by construction: it is stitched into the top — the seam is a declared design detail — creating a defined writing zone on the oak, glass or ecomalta surface. It belongs to the desk's architecture rather than sitting on it.
What sizes do the meeting tables come in?
Three long formats — 280, 360 and 440 cm, up to 140 cm deep — plus round tables at 120 and 160 cm. All at 75 cm height, all in the same finish palette as the desk.
Can the storage wall be sized to the room?
Yes, on a 38,4 cm vertical module: six cabinet heights from 78,6 to 270,6 cm, sideboards in three lengths, and wall panelling cut from 58 to 308 cm wide. The system is measured to the architecture, not the other way around.

Specifying an executive floor that survives the retrofit: the Metar method

For facility leads and A&D teams planning a leadership floor: five steps to lock a system — finishes, wiring, storage — so growth and churn never break the design.

Name the palette in the project file
Pick one oak, one metal — Carbon with shadow grey, natural with pink copper — and write the codes down. Two years later, the second order matches because the file says so.
Buy the depth, not just the length
The one-metre-deep top changes how the desk works: monitor at distance, documents open, guest chairs across. Size the room around that meter before choosing the 220 or 240 length.
Put wiring inside the furniture
Use the integrated wiring as designed and plan floor feeds where desks and the 440 table will stand. Power planned once is invisible; power added later never is.
Build the wall on the module
The 38,4 cm module aligns cabinets, bookcases and panelling in one grid. Set the top line — 232 or 270 cm — and let every unit land on it.
Reorder from the abacus
Keep the original configuration list and have every addition checked against Bralco's current abacus. La Mercanti maintains that file for each Metar project — the retrofit then reads as phase two, not as a patch.
