Most designer armchairs are bought for the head of the table and then live pulled out from it, because the arms hit the edge. Pedrali writes the answer directly on the Nemea spec sheet: the armrests rest on the table top. They stop at 680 mm, well below the 765 mm of the backrest, which is why the three armchair codes tuck in like a side chair — under a meeting table too — and leave a walkway behind them.

You get the choice of seat you would get on the side chairs: plywood on the 2825, a padded panel on the 2826, hand-woven cellulose rope on the 2827. The 2826 goes further and shapes its ash plywood backrest to rest against the table as well. Footprint stays 520 by 500 mm across the range, weights run from 5 to 6 kg, and the aluminium support is the same casting throughout. La Mercanti supplies the collection to US projects with samples reviewed before the order is confirmed.

FAQ

Will the armchairs fit under a standard table?
The armrests stop at 680 mm, and Pedrali states on the sheet that they allow the seat to rest on the table top. Measure the underside of your top rather than the surface: an apron or a thick beam is what decides, not the nominal table height.
What is different about the 2826?
Its ash plywood backrest is shaped so it too can rest against the table, and the seat is a padded beech panel rated class 1 IM and Crib 5. At 6 kg it is the heaviest code in the family, which is what you feel when the room is reset every night.
Is there an armchair without upholstery?
The 2825, with plywood seat and backrest, and the 2827, whose seat is hand-woven in cellulose rope. Neither uses fabric or foam, and both are declared 100% recyclable at end of life.
Do armchairs and side chairs line up around one table?
They share the same 520 by 500 mm footprint and the same 765 mm height, so the only visible change is the arms. Heads of the table in armchairs, sides in chairs: the rhythm stays even.
Which finish should a walnut scheme use for the metal?
The sheet is explicit: with American walnut the aluminium support is available in black only. Ash opens the other options, including BI200 with the FR and BI finishes and RO300 with the RB lacquer.

How to specify Nemea armchairs for a US project

Five steps from the drawing to the confirmed order.

Measure under the top, not over it
Aprons and beams eat the clearance the armrests need.
Choose the seat material
Plywood, padded panel or hand-woven cellulose rope.
Set the metal finish
Black is mandatory with walnut; ash opens the coloured options.
Match the glide to the floor
Felt for stone and hardwood, plastic for carpet and concrete.
Confirm quantities per carton
Two chairs per box at 0.385 cubic metres shapes the freight plan.
