American juries picked CMP twice, eleven years apart

Two American juries, eleven years apart, bracket this signature. In 2012 the Chicago Athenaeum gave its Good Design Award to one of their armchairs, Malmö; in 2023 the HiP Awards, also out of Chicago, chose Lamorisse in its wood version. Between those dates Michele Cazzaniga, Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo signed as CMP — from 2010 to 2025 — after meeting at the Politecnico di Milano, and built a body of work that runs from contract chairs to upholstered airport seating for Arconas.

For Pedrali the same hands drew Nolita, Osaka and Panarea. In American offices where the break area gets photographed as often as the boardroom, this is the register La Mercanti works with.
