Let's discuss your project

Bespoke: size, colour, finish

Walk through any American home and the faucet is a foregone conclusion: a single lever — a joystick — wobbling over a chrome body. Opus by Cea Design starts from a refusal written into its brief: no rosettes, no joystick. The Belgian architect Bruno Erpicum reduced the tap to two cylinders — one sized for the hand, at 2.36 in (60 mm), governing temperature; one of just 0.71 in (18 mm), carrying the water — and asked the mechanics to earn their place.

They do, three ways: progressive, dual-handle or thermostatic, all wrapped in the same drawing, all built in AISI 316L stainless steel — satin, polished, or the special finishes Black Diamond, Bronze, Copper and Light Gold, which the manufacturer declares ecological and biocompatible. Washbasin, shower, tub, recessed controls and matching accessories complete the range, on designer ceramics from the same catalog.

La Mercanti serves US projects with configuration advice and detailed quotes on the drawings, from single residences to hospitality programs.

FAQ

Can different finishes be mixed in one bathroom?
Technically yes — every family comes in all six finishes — but the collection reads strongest in a single metal. If you mix, keep one finish per zone and confirm each reference on the order list.
Is there a bidet version?
Yes — the washbasin families extend to the bidet: wall-mounted progressive and dual-handle models plus deck variants, all in the same finishes.
Which washbasin formats are available?
Four routes: wall-mounted mixers (progressive or dual-handle), two-hole deck models, three-hole sets with separate pieces — plus independent wall spouts that pair freely with the recessed controls.
How do the collection codes work?
Families follow function: OPS01–OPS16 for washbasin and bidet, OPS24–OPS65 for shower and tub, OPS30–OPS59 with TRM07 and DEV17 for recessed controls, OPUS 100 and up for accessories. We assemble the project list line by line.
Can La Mercanti quote from our drawings?
Yes: send the bathroom drawings, we define versions, finishes and quantities position by position, and a detailed quote reaches you before any order is placed.

How to get an Opus order right the first time

Five steps from drawing to a checked order list, position by position.

List every water point
Basin, bidet, shower, tub: give each position its exact Opus reference, from OPS01 to the accessories.
Pick the mechanics per position
Progressive, dual-handle or thermostatic: note the choice for every point before the rough-in is planned.
Freeze the recessed items first
Built-in boxes, feeds and control heights go on the executive drawing before the walls close — recessed work allows no second thoughts.
One finish across the room
Order faucets and accessories in the same finish so the room speaks a single metal.
Have the list cross-checked
Send drawing and list to La Mercanti for a cross-check of references, versions and quantities before sign-off.
