Five of the six Catifa Sensit types come upholstered. Type 4 takes the other road: a matt polypropylene shell in a single colour that can stay uncovered, mounted on a five-spoke base with self-braking castors and gas-lift height adjustment. No fabric to book a cleaning cycle for, no leather to keep out of the sun — a surface that shrugs off the traffic of a training room or a shared floor, while keeping the same silhouette that Lievore Altherr Molina drew for the whole family in 2014.

That is what makes the range work as a fleet: the boardroom takes the upholstered four-spoke versions, the workstations take the castor types, the visitor chair and the home office borrow whichever fits — and the profile never changes across the floor plan. For US projects, La Mercanti builds the type-by-type schedule and has it delivered through its logistics network, with delivery times confirmed in writing at order confirmation.

Which covering options exist beyond the bare shell?
Declared options are fabric, leather, coated fabric or the customer's own material; Types 5 and 6 go further, entirely upholstered, including the customer's leather. The bare single-colour shell belongs to Type 4 only.
Who services the gas-lift column if needed?
Authorised personnel only: Arper explicitly reserves any intervention on mechanical components, the gas column included, and directs users to contact the manufacturer.
How should the fabric versions be maintained?
The manufacturer prescribes frequent gentle vacuuming, ideally weekly, and dabbing stains with a clean, well-wrung cloth. Abrasive products are excluded across all surfaces.
Are the armrests included in the base price?
They are an option at a declared additional charge, in two executions: BI aluminum in the base finish or BR upholstered. Many meeting rooms specify the chair without them.
Does the range make sense for a home office too?
Arper declares the Catifa Sensit re-imagined for both home and work environments. For a study at home, the castor versions with gas-lift height adjustment are the natural pick.
