Piero Lissoni: a Milan studio that became a New York architecture firm

Few European designers commit to the American market the way Piero Lissoni has. His studio opened a New York office in 2015 to bring its interiors practice to the Americas, and in 2023 that office was certified to provide full architectural services and became an architecture firm in its own right, on Mercer Street in SoHo. The portfolio that followed reads like a map of the eastern seaboard and the Gulf: 45 Park Place in Manhattan, the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Oceana Bal Harbour and One Paraiso in Miami, private villas in the Hamptons. The firm's American lead also teaches an interior design studio at Parsons, which is an unusual level of investment for an Italian practice.
