Glass conference tables are honest to a fault: everything under the top is on display, cables included. UniTable by ICF keeps the transparency and removes the problem. On the electrified version with the 0.6 in (15 mm) clear glass top, the central sector is made of back-painted black glass: the 11.8 in (30 cm) door, the aluminium frame and the black cable tray underneath sit behind an opaque band, while the outer sectors stay clear. The table reads as glass; the wiring reads as a black stripe — a graphic decision, not a compromise.
Under the glass runs the system: an extruded aluminium beam, bright anodised with a black decorative line, brackets in polished die-cast aluminium positionable anywhere along it, polished die-cast legs. Five table shapes — round, square, rectangular, barrel, trapezoidal, in one to four sectors, up to 236 in (600 cm) — plus the executive desk version at 79–110 in (200–280 cm). Tops also in melamine, Fenix, oak or American black walnut at 1.2 in (30 mm); declared for high-profile offices, from executive suites to collaborative spaces.
For US projects, La Mercanti draws the glass table and its black sector on the floor plan — shape, sectors, electrification — and issues a checked quotation before the order is signed.
