Count how many times a household searches for the right water temperature in a year, and you understand why Cea Design rebuilt the inside of its most classic mixer. Cut Plus works on a new mixing concept: the temperature is set once and stays where you put it, so from that moment a single movement opens, meters and closes the water. No renegotiating the mix before breakfast — the faucet remembers so you do not have to.

The line it inherits has history: the original Cut was the very first mixer project of Cea Design, drawn in 1998 by architects Mario Tessarollo and Tiberio Cerato and renewed today with Natalino Malasorti. The body is AISI 316L stainless steel, satin or polished, with four special finishes — Black Diamond, Bronze, Copper, Light Gold. Configurations: horizontal with the handle on the right or left, or vertical.

The collection runs from wall-mounted basin mixers — set into tiled walls — to shower column, tub set and built-in remote controls. La Mercanti serves US projects with configuration advice and detailed quotes on the drawings, from single residences to hospitality programs.

FAQ

Which finishes can I choose from?
Two standards — satin and polished stainless steel — plus four special finishes: Black Diamond, Bronze, Copper and Light Gold. All of them dress the same steel body.
What does the shower column include?
The CUT20 column gathers mixer, two-way diverter, built-in hand shower and a rain-jet showerhead in a single AISI 316L element — the whole shower wall in one piece.
Who is behind the design?
Architects Mario Tessarollo and Tiberio Cerato — authors of the original 1998 project — together with Natalino Malasorti, co-founder and art director of CEA Design.
Is there a vertical mounting option?
Yes. Besides the two horizontal configurations with the handle on the right or left, the mixer can be installed vertically — useful on narrow wall sections or next to wide mirrors.
Does the collection fit hospitality and office projects?
It does: one collection covers basin, shower, tub and controls, so a run of hotel bathrooms or an executive washroom repeats one coherent language room after room.

How to compose a full bathroom with Cut Plus

Five steps to give every water point in the room one language, from basin to tub.

Map the water points
Walk the floor plan and list basin, bidet, shower and tub: Cut Plus covers each of them, so nothing has to come from a different family.
Start at the basin wall
The basin mixers CUT01 through CUT05 are wall-mounted: settle height and axis together with mirror and vanity before the plumbing rough-in.
Resolve the shower
Choose the CUT20 column for a one-element wall, CUT35 or CUT36 with diverter for a composed one, CUT60 or CUT70 to recess the controls.
Bring the tub into line
CUT30 and CUT31 with diverter extend the same section to the bathtub — same logic, same gesture as the basin.
Lock one finish for the room
Order every Cut Plus item in the same finish and have the list checked against the drawings before you confirm.
