Alegre Design has designed car washes, baby bottles and office chairs

Check the portfolio twice: the same studio that works on car-wash equipment for Istobal has designed for baby-care brand Suavinex and bathroom giant Roca. Alegre Design, based in Valencia, Spain, has launched more than 200 products since 2001 by refusing to stay in one lane — the founders call it giving value to people through innovation, whatever the object in front of them. Behind the range there is a stable core: Andrés Baldoví and Marcelo Alegre, two Head Designers working side by side for over twenty years, with three Red Dot Design Awards to show for it.

The lane that leads to us is upholstered: Quinti, the Italian office seating brand on La Mercanti's roster, appears among the studio's clients — the American shortcut to their way of thinking.
