Most manufacturers tell you where a sofa belongs. Quinti’s data sheet for New York names four places on a single line: domestic, residential, office and contract. American specifiers have a word for that overlap, “resimercial”, but here it is not a styling brief. It is the declared scope of one upholstered system, built the same way whether it lands in a living room, a multifamily amenity floor, a partner’s office or a hotel lobby.
Within our Italian sofas and lounge seating, what carries across the four settings is the construction. The frame you never see is all wood, strung with elastic webbing; the foam changes density from layer to layer; the cushions, seat and back alike, are goose feather. Legs are black-painted steel tube, 0.79 in across, four to a piece. Proportions run generous and low: 34.6 in front to back, a seat 25.6 in deep set 16.5 in off the floor, 27.6 in overall height. In a reception area it reads like furniture from a home; at home it keeps the discipline of an office piece.
Eleven pieces fill out the line. Among sofas and armchairs there is a lounge chair, a two-seater at 82.7 in, the Small at 68.9 in, a three-seater at 100.8 in and an ottoman. To build a modular sofa, Quinti adds a two-seater with no arms, one with the arm at right, one with the arm at left, a center unit and a corner, along with a coffee table that shares the base. For waiting rooms, alongside guest chairs, each piece can be built with fire-retardant foam that holds Italy’s 1IM approval. La Mercanti writes the specification by element code, one line per piece.

Yes. Quinti supplies it with fire-retardant foams approved to 1IM, the Italian reaction-to-fire class for upholstered furniture, under a dedicated IM column in the price list. It is an Italian approval: check it against the code your project falls under.
Six years from delivery, on condition of proper use, as stated on the technical data sheet. It is the manufacturer’s own declaration.
Every New York piece has its own line in Quinti’s price list. Five steps to turn a layout into an order that leaves nothing to interpretation.
Start with what people sit on: armchair X0821NE0, two-seater X0822NE0, Small X0822SN0, three-seater X0823NEO, ottoman X082PNEO.
For a run or an L, write in the armless two-seater X0822N00, the center unit X0821N00 and the corner X0821NA0.
Each code is ordered in a cover category from 2 to 8, or in the IM column when fire-retardant foam is required. One category per line.
Black tubular steel is standard. For wood, add kit XNYGLN and its finish: Walnut NC, Natural RN, Moka RT or Open-pore black NP.
The low table is X082TNE0, with the same four finish codes for the veneered top. Write the code and the finish together.
