23 1/4 in from the floor to the top of the back: that is the full height of Acamante, a figure to set against the window sill or the sightline of the project before anything else is decided. The seat is at 15 in and the piece runs 41 3/8 in deep, which makes it something you settle into more than perch on. Elisa Ossino designed it in 2025 with a minimalism taken to the extreme: squares, rectangles and nothing drawn above the horizon they set. LaCividina makes it in Martignacco, in Italy’s Udine province.
When a brief calls for sofas and lounge seating made in Italy, the sofa is where to start. It is listed in two lengths, a 2-seat at 114 1/8 in and a 3-seat at 155 1/2 in, each on one of two bases. The first is high-gloss lacquer, Ivory (RAL 9001) or Gray (RAL 7021); the second is upholstered to match the cushions. Those cushions are flat and stacked in layers to make the backs and arms, over a structure of beech, both solid and plywood, with steel. The covers come off, and the feet are black polypropylene.
Room by room, the other pieces follow. At home the chaise, which LaCividina calls a dormeuse, stretches to 82 5/8 in. In a lounge the sectional takes over: 41 3/8 in square seats between left and right end units of 57 1/8 in, an ottoman cut to the seat plan, plus a lacquered table just 6 3/4 in tall. In a lobby or outside a boardroom we use it for waiting, where it replaces a row of separate guest chairs. La Mercanti checks sill and sightline heights on the elevation.

Both are end units measuring 57 1/8 × 41 3/8 in; one is made for the left side of a run, the other for the right. They carry separate item numbers on the price list, so the side has to be stated when the order is written.
No, the table is lacquered only. It matches the seat module in plan, 41 3/8 in square, and stands 6 3/4 in tall, so in a sectional it reads as one more block of the composition, not as an accessory.
Solid beech and beech plywood, with elements in steel. The beech is what you see lacquered on the base, or what gets covered when the upholstered base is chosen. That is the full list of structural materials on the LaCividina technical sheet.
By means of a connection system between elements: a metal connector that links each module to its neighbor. It belongs to the product as LaCividina specifies it, which is why a run of seats and end units behaves as one sofa and not as loose blocks.
Yes. The price list has a line for customer’s own leather, abbreviated COL, and a sample of the hide is required. The requirement comes from the maker and applies whenever the leather is supplied by the customer.
Acamante takes fabric or leather from about a dozen price-list grades, or material you supply. Five steps, each one starting from the swatch in your hand.
LaCividina groups its recommended fabrics and leathers for Acamante into about a dozen grades. Ask for swatches from the ones in play and look at them together before any drawing is finalized.
Each recommended fabric or leather belongs to one of those dozen or so grades on the LaCividina list. The grade identifies the material on paper, so note it as soon as a swatch is shortlisted.
Acamante upholstery is removable: LaCividina states it on the technical sheet. Whichever swatch is approved, the cover made from it is one that can be taken off the piece again.
Customer’s own material is accepted when it is a solid color and 55 in wide. LaCividina requires a sample of it, so a swatch has to reach the maker along with the request.
Once the swatch is chosen, record its grade and name beside every module and sofa in the composition, so each line of the order states which material that piece is made in.
