Most guest chairs assume the visitor sits facing the door. Two pieces of Qubik make no such assumption: the backless seats measure 94.9 × 39.4 in and 113.4 × 39.4 in, with no backrest and no arms, so people take a place from the front, from behind or from either end. In a lobby that means a bench that never turns its back on anyone walking in.
The surface is a grid of rounded cushions, upholstered the way Flexteam upholsters its sofas, and it sits 16.5 in off the floor, the same height as every other piece in the collection designed by Carlo Tomaso. Two square formats, 57.9 × 57.9 in and 76.4 × 57.9 in, work as islands toward the center of a lobby; the long ones line up under a window or along a corridor where a chair would block the flow.
Next to the backless pieces, the family covers the rest of what a waiting area needs: sofas from 60.2 to 115.7 in wide, units with the arm on either side, armless center units, an end unit 79.1 in long, a chaise longue, two poufs and a black ash side table. You will find it with our Italian lounge seating, and Flexteam draws it just as much for the living room. La Mercanti draws the benches into the lobby floor plan with the walkways around them kept clear.

16.5 in from the floor. Pieces with a back stand 31.5 in tall, arms reach 25.6 in and standard depth is 42.1 in.
Yes, the maxi center units: 57.9 and 76.4 in wide, 60.6 in deep instead of the standard 42.1 in.
With brackets left in view. Flexteam presents them as a distinctive detail of the design rather than something to hide.
Flexteam states up to 10 years on frames and 5 years on cushioning.
Synthetic fibers, which Flexteam says are less prone to shrinking and fading. Cotton, linen and viscose keep a cooler, natural hand; velvets and chenilles get crushed as they are used.
The leather version of Qubik stays on the sofa, it cannot be removed for cleaning. Five steps based on what Flexteam says about natural leather.
On Qubik the leather cover is fixed, with flat stitching, unlike the fabric version. Every bit of care happens with the sofa in place.
Small scratches, scars, insect bites and stretch marks are not defects, Flexteam explains, but the sign of a natural material.
The more natural the leather, the more luxurious it looks and the more care it asks for. Plan cleaning to match the hide you chose.
Flexteam publishes maintenance instructions for its products. Keep them with the delivery documents and hand them to whoever cleans the space.
When the sofa is retired, Flexteam asks that it go to public disposal systems, never into the environment.
