It turns to you and turns back by itself: the swivel Manta by Quinti for the lobby
Let's discuss your project

Call a visitor’s name across a lobby and watch what the chair does. On its four-spoke base, Manta swivels toward the voice, and when the visitor stands up the die-cast aluminum base brings the shell back to center on its own: Quinti lists it as a return mechanism, self-aligning, in polished aluminum or painted black. The seat sits at 18 7/8 inches on this base, the back at 31 7/8, a shade higher than the fixed versions, and the chair weighs 50 pounds.
Among the lobby guest armchairs in our Quinti range, this is the lounge piece Marco Cocco drew in cold-foamed polyurethane, cushion included, over a steel skeleton webbed with elastic bands: 31 1/2 inches square, with a seat 22 1/2 inches deep. The swivel is one of five bases. The other four stay put: chromed or black tube legs, an open framework you can level, painted wood in four tones, and rockers on oak runners; add the headrest and the swivel version reaches 44 7/8 inches.
The data sheet sends it to the waiting zones of offices and contract projects and into the home, and the same shell works in a reception and front desk row as in a hotel bar. Quinti rounds it off with a quilted down pad, a square side table 39 3/8 inches across, topped in wood or marble, and a build with foams approved to the Italian 1IM class. La Mercanti puts the swivel version where people are called by name and the fixed one where they wait in rows.

FAQ
How wide is the actual seat inside Manta’s 31 1/2-inch frame?
19 3/4 inches. The shell is 31 1/2 inches wide overall, so almost six inches on each side belong to the upholstered sides that wrap the sitter. Seat depth is 22 1/2 inches on a chair 31 1/2 inches deep. It is why a row of Manta reads as a row of nests rather than a bench: each person gets a seat and two soft walls.
What is the right way to lift Manta when a lobby is rearranged?
By the structure, not by the cover and not by the cushion: that is Quinti’s instruction for lifting and moving the chair. Manta weighs between 42 and 55 pounds depending on the base and the headrest, is meant to rest on its four legs or on its base, and is not built to take a load off its center or a person standing on it.
Where in Sweden has Manta been installed?
At Oriflame, in Stockholm, a project Quinti dates 2018 and lists on the Manta page together with Pat, Point, Thank and Pat Stripes. The manufacturer gives no room count or layout, only the client, the city and the year, so that is what we repeat. For a US specifier it says one thing clearly: the chair has already been installed for a company in Stockholm.
What keeps the seat from feeling like a block of foam?
The straps. Under the cold-foamed polyurethane Manta has a metal skeleton fitted with elastic support straps, which Quinti says are there to increase seat comfort: they are there, in the manufacturer’s words, to increase seat comfort. The seat cushion adds a layer that is half polyurethane and half memory. The skeleton is the same whichever of the five bases carries it.
Is there a matching table, and what is the top made of?
Yes: a 39 3/8-inch square, or round, table 13 3/8 inches high, on the same lattice steel frame used for one of the chair bases, chromed or painted black, with adjustable feet. The top comes in marble or in wood finish, walnut, natural, Moka or open-pore black, matching the wooden legs of the armchair. Packed, it takes 15.9 cubic feet; the manufacturer does not publish its weight.
How to assemble the Manta technical file before a lobby project goes out to bid
The documents Quinti publishes for Manta, in the order a specifier collects them: data sheet, 3D and 2D models, order codes and the two declared tests.
Download the Manta data sheet
The product page on quinti.com carries the Manta data sheet as a PDF: the drawings of the armchair with and without headrest and in the rocking version, the five base types, the construction note on the metal skeleton with elastic straps under cold-foamed polyurethane, and the full upholstery list with weights and abrasion cycles.
Pull the 2D and 3D models
Next to the PDF, the manufacturer offers the chair as a 2D drawing and as OBJ, SKP and DWG files. Dropping the model into the floor plan settles the footprint, 31 1/2 by 31 1/2 inches for the fixed bases and 31 1/2 by 37 3/8 for the rocker, before anyone argues about fabric.
Write down the order codes
The code tells the base before the finish does: it opens with X0880 on tube legs, X0881 on the lattice frame, X0882 on painted wood, X0883 on the swivel base and X0884 on the rocker, then carries the finish letters and, with the headrest, a closing P. The quilted down pad is X088C000 and the table X088TNN0 or X088TCR0.
Copy the two declared tests
Quinti’s seating test table marks Manta for the Italian 1IM approval and for CAM compliance, and nothing else. A spec that lists only those two can be checked line by line against the manufacturer’s own documents; anything borrowed from another standard cannot.
Note what is not available
The materials table rules out three covers on this model: Crepè, the category 6 leather and Velluto Decontracté. Listing them as excluded in the file saves a round of questions, as does noting the packed volume, 21.2 cubic feet per chair whatever the base, and the weights from 42 to 55 pounds.
