American interiors love a two-tone lobby armchair — and fear what happens when the pairing is left to chance. Lepal answers with a declared middle way: alongside the single-material version, the outer panel and inner cushions can be upholstered in different materials, in specially designed combinations. The pairings are engineered by Arper, not improvised at order stage: a tougher skin on the shell, a softer touch where the body lands, and a monochromatic elegance that reads as one piece. The choice is yours; the taste risk is theirs.

Doshi Levien's 2024 design carries the options on a slender angled base — powder-coated aluminium or solid wood, both on height-adjustable glides — with a high curved back for privacy and an FSC®-certified collection behind it. Waiting and reception first; then lounge, hospitality, contract and the home reading corner. For US projects, La Mercanti walks each pairing room by room, with delivery times confirmed in writing at order confirmation.

FAQ

What sits inside the shell of Lepal?
A set of inner cushions, nested in the wraparound outer panel: the panel draws the posture and the privacy, the cushions do the welcoming — both upholstered, both with separable covers.
What does 'ready for recovery and reuse' mean here?
The declared hierarchy of the product's end of life: because everything is assembled without glue, components can be recovered and reused before recycling is even considered.
Is there a declared warranty statement?
There is: Arper states the product is built from quality materials with the sector's best technologies — the specific terms travel with the order documentation.
How is the fabric version maintained?
A weekly pass with a low-suction vacuum and stains dabbed — never rubbed — with a clean damp cloth; the sheet states exact cleaning formulas, and doubtful products get a hidden-area test with a 24-hour wait.
Which activities is Lepal declared for?
Conversation, reading and work — across public and private settings: the same armchair serves the clinic waiting row, the hotel lounge and the quiet corner at home.

How to run a one-week Lepal trial before the fleet order

Five steps to turn opinions into a decision — with the armchair tested where it will actually live.

Place the trial pieces in the real room
Lepal is judged in the actual waiting area or lounge, not in a storeroom: only the right room gives right answers.
Let different people sit
Visitors, staff, reception: different bodies and dwell times produce different verdicts — and all of them count.
Ask three questions only
Comfort, look, fit: three short questions on a card are enough — more questions, fewer answers.
Count votes per zone
Judge by room rather than in total: one version can win the lobby and lose the reading corner.
Order from the tally
Let the count decide versions and quantities — La Mercanti turns the tally into an order with delivery times confirmed in writing.
