LaCividina says Apper can grow into sofa islands of considerable size, and then puts a number on the claim. Composition APP04 in the technical sheet is one continuous arc of curved units, arm to arm, and it measures 175 1/4 in. Drawn on a lobby plan, a piece that long bends with the room and still reads as a single sofa. Antonio Rodriguez designed the system in 2024 on two curves, one tight and one wide, which means the sweep is a decision the designer makes and not a leftover of the column grid. Two smaller arcs in the same sheet, at 153 1/2 in and 118 1/8 in, show how the line shortens when units come out.
Most lobbies start smaller. On the guest chairs side of a project Apper is an armchair and a 3-seat sofa: rounded volumes, a low back that wraps into the arm without a break, a deep seat, and a recessed ash base you barely notice. Fir and beech, both solid, make the structure, and the maker reinforces the frame specifically for public areas. Upholstery runs through eleven grades, nine in fabric and two in leather, which is how one sofa can sit in a clinic waiting room on Monday and be specified as Italian lounge seating for an executive floor on Tuesday.
The modular system fills in everything between that sofa and the long arc, going from straight to curved. End units carry one arm, left or right. Straight armless units in three lengths stretch a run down a wall. Two center units, one for each curve, turn it, and curved end units close it. A dormeuse, deeper than every other unit in the line, finishes a run on either side. Thirteen sample compositions show the range. La Mercanti lays the arc out on the lobby plan before anyone orders a single element.

The 3-seat sofa, no. 1461 in the price list, is 94 1/2 in wide, arm to arm. Both arms are built in and nothing needs to be added to it: of the two freestanding pieces in the collection, it is the longer one.
The seat sits 16 1/2 in off the floor. LaCividina gives that figure once for the whole collection, so the armchair, the sofa and the modular units line up at one level when they stand together.
They can if you ask for it up front. LaCividina lists a power and USB connection among the options available on request, so it has to be specified with the order. Bringing the feed to the floor or the wall is the electrician’s part of the job. La Mercanti flags the option on the quote so it is not forgotten.
Yes, on request. Beyond the standard pieces in the price list, LaCividina states that Apper can be made to measure. The request goes to the maker with a dimensioned drawing, and La Mercanti brings back the answer before anything is ordered.
LaCividina offers the Planner, a configurator listed on its website among the project resources for Apper. A designer can use it to put units together and look at the result before a layout is committed to a drawing.
LaCividina accepts COM and COL on Apper by request. The swatch comes first: five steps from the sample to the order, using only what the price list requires.
The price list names both options: COM, customer’s own material, and COL, customer’s own leather. Each is offered on request, so the material is reviewed by the maker before an order built on it is accepted.
For fabric and for leather alike, LaCividina requires a sample. Nothing else moves until it arrives: the swatch goes to the maker ahead of yardage, drawings or a purchase order.
A COM fabric has to be a solid color, and the roll has to be 55 in wide. Those are the two conditions printed in the price list. A patterned cloth or a narrower roll falls outside them.
List the pieces by number: 1460 for the armchair, 1461 for the 3-seat sofa, 1462 through 1472 for the modular units. The list tells the maker exactly which pieces the material is meant for.
Once the sample is accepted, the order is written with the piece numbers and the note COM or COL beside each one. The base finish, natural ash or graphite stain, goes on the same order.
