The Italian who already draws for America: Valerio Sommella

American homes have owned his work for years without knowing his name. Valerio Sommella drew Solaro for RH and Esplanade for DWR, and his client list runs through Alessi, Moooi, Apple and Panasonic — an industrial designer who moves between consumer electronics, lighting and furniture from a Milan studio.

The office side of that portfolio is Inca, drawn for i4Mariani: lacquered wood, leather and saddle leather, from the executive desk down to the handles. La Mercanti delivers it to corner offices across the United States.
