Stefano Boeri Interiors, the studio that ships what it draws

Stefano Boeri Interiors studio portrait, Milan

Plenty of studios can sketch a handsome office; Stefano Boeri Interiors also lists engineering and design validation, production supervision, quality control and logistics among its own declared competencies. Set up in Milan in 2018 by Stefano Boeri — architect and full professor at the Politecnico di Milano — with co-founder Giorgio Donà, the practice treats delivery as part of authorship: a drawing only counts once it stands, plumb and finished, in the room it was made for. Interior architecture, exhibition design and product design share the same desk, and the same accountability.

That mindset produced Mux70, the executive collection the studio created for Frezza: a sit-stand executive desk, meeting table, coffee table and sideboard, renewing a line born in 1984. When an American headquarters wants design with follow-through, La Mercanti puts this signature on the shortlist. What arrives matches what was drawn.
