Eight products, one signature: Citterio's house designer Pinuccio Borgonovo

Check the designers page on Citterio's website and one name keeps returning: Pinuccio Borgonovo, credited with eight products — from the acoustic box C_SS, which the Molteni Group company presents as the first of its kind for meetings, to W_SS, Wood Wall, Shard and the Bridge Soft and Lockers extensions. Born in Giussano in 1956 — his art schooling done in Cantù, Italy's furniture-making capital — he spent ten years in Molteni's research center before going independent in 1987 as a consultant to leading Italian furniture houses.

That is the kind of track record American clients ask us about: Citterio is the wall specialist La Mercanti brings to American projects coast to coast, and most of what you would specify carries this one signature. A house designer, in the most literal sense — he practically drew the house.
